Our Founders

Jessica Ringgenberg | Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Jess Ringgenberg helps executive teams address one of today’s most under-managed workforce realities: caregiving and its impact on performance, retention, and leadership decision-making. Through research-led advisory, leadership development, and strategic consulting, ELIXR partners with organizations to build systems that enable sustainable performance at scale.

Jess brings deep experience across workforce strategy, organizational change, and leadership development, informed by her background as an award-winning Fortune 500 leader and her career in rare disease biotech. Her work focuses on translating complex human dynamics into decision-grade insights leaders can use to improve outcomes across the employee lifecycle.

As a former Fortune 500 leader, mother of two, and member of the sandwich generation caring both up and down, Jess witnessed firsthand how lack of visibility, outdated systems, and the absence of accountability consistently fail caregivers and the leaders responsible for supporting them. What she observed was not a lack of intent or care, but a lack of strategy embedded in how organizations are designed to operate.

In response, Jess co-founded ELIXR to help organizations recognize caregiving—employees responsible for others outside of work—as a core business strategy rather than a personal issue meant to be managed at home. In 2023, she published The Science of Modern Motherhood™, a first-of-its-kind national research study examining caregiving through workforce data, maternal experience, and employee impact.

Jess is a PCC-certified executive coach and a recognized voice in the care economy and future of work. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband and two boys.

The ELIXR Story

ELIXR began with a clear mission: to make caregiving in the workplace impossible to ignore.

After decades leading inside corporate biotech and global enterprise environments, our founders saw the same pattern from different vantage points. Behind burnout, stalled promotions, uneven performance, and unexpected attrition was a common thread — care. Caregiving was shaping capacity, leadership decisions, and execution every day, yet it remained unnamed, unmeasured, and strategically unmanaged.

Organizations were investing in engagement, leadership development, benefits, and retention. On paper, they were pulling the right levers. And still, results felt harder to sustain. The workforce had changed. Most organizations had not.

In 2023, that insight became action. ELIXR launched The Science of Modern Motherhood™, a first-of-its-kind national research study examining how care, identity, and work intersect across the employee lifecycle. The findings confirmed what many leaders had sensed but could not quantify: caregiving is not rare. It is the majority condition of today’s workforce.

As demand for this work grew, so did the responsibility to build the infrastructure behind it. Delivering care with rigor requires more than conviction. It requires research, systems, governance, and disciplined execution. Together, our founders expanded ELIXR into a diagnostic-led workforce strategy firm designed to operate at the enterprise level.

From that foundation, ELIXR developed the CareConscious™ model — a proprietary framework that helps organizations see where caregiving responsibility intersects with performance, productivity, retention, leadership capacity, and benefits ROI inside their own systems.

ELIXR operates at the intersection of workforce data and enterprise strategy. We advise executive teams on caregiving as a measurable workforce variable — one that directly impacts performance, financial outcomes, and long-term resilience.

Our vision is bold: a future where caregiving is recognized not in the margins, but in the boardroom. Where leaders manage care with clarity and discipline. Where caregivers find community. And where organizations transform an invisible risk into sustained strategic advantage.
